What? September only has another couple of days and you're making another September week? Why, Raisca? 

I don't know, I made these months ago and can't remember why I made that choice. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But nevermind that, take these 3 prompts for the week! Enjoy!

Blue

I love all the colors, but I don't love them all the same. And blue always tends to be down on the list. 

Lately, though... I don't know what happened, but I've been more and more drawn to it! 
(Green is still my favorite, though)

Play? Play.

 I'm getting the urge to play Sims all day again. I blame Caryn and Connie.
And what's stopping me? Absolutely nothing!

There's always that voice on the back of my head saying I should be working instead. But screw that! Not today. 

Today I get to be an architect and a home decorator. To be honest, I'm not that great at the architecture part. But decorating? Making a room cozy and cluttered, filled with plants and string lights (again, I blame the twins lol)? I love it!

Let me show you what I made for my Discord server. I wanted to illustrate the kind of place I envision the server to be. 

You enter through The Lighthouse. It looks more like a cake than a lighthouse... Shhh. 
I even made one of my beacons!

You can't really interact with much at this point, but you can have a little look. 

 

 

And after you agree to the rules, you can get in through the door hidden behind the curtain.

 

 

Then you have the living room, although I called it The Fireplace. The place to sit around and chat about this and that. Pet friendly. 

 

 

 

Next there's The Library. The place to gather and share resources and al nerd out about your favorite things.

 

There's also The Studio, which looks a lot like my actual studio. But tidier. Ahah. Here you can share whatever you're working on. 

 

Then there's The Patio. Where you can look outside and share links to other people's work all around the universe that is the internet. And also links to your own stuff.

 

 

We also have a The Treehouse. It's not really working at the moment. I had this cool idea of making collaborative art, you know several people working together on the same piece. I still think it's an awesome idea, but turns out I just don't have the mental energy to organize things on a regular basis. Then again, I barely have anyone around in there, so that also eats up my motivation. I'd like to get it rolling again at some point. We'll see how that goes.

 

 

And finally, there's The Café. or when you don't really want to chat, just chill for a while with a drink and a snack and some nice background music. Unfortunately, you have to provide your own drink and snack.

I had a great time creating all this, but I've come to realize I'm not that great at maintaining a server. Or maybe I just never got lucky enough to have a core group that is always present and keeping the server alive.

Big thing done. On to the next!

The market is done. And I've had a few days to recover my energy. Yay!

It went well. Even if people didn't always stop by my stand, they looked and smiled at my things. And that fills me with joy! Of course, it feels even better when they do stop and actually buy something. 

Now I need to properly  update my crochet instagram. I tend to forget it exists... 

 

What's next? 

I've been in crochet mode for a while now, and after the success at the market, I'm feeling like continuing with it. I've developed a liking for using thinner thread instead of yarn and making small things. Although at the moment I'm working on a request with that think fluffy yarn. I don't like working with it to be honest. Yes, is makes big fluffy things and the work grows very quickly, but it's hard to tell the stitches apart, and if you make a mistake it's hard to frog and it damages the yarn. At least the kind of yarn I have. There might be better options out there, but I'm not that interested in finding out, considering I don't like working with it.

I would also like to get back to my digital collages. 

I've been working on a series I haven't shared yet. I have 6 works done. I'd like to have 12. Who knows, maybe that could end up as a calendar! Although it seems like I'm already late to that race, as I've been seeing 2026 calendars dropping all around already (why are people always in such a hurry?!)

And I would also like to get back to collage on paper. I even have one in the works, but with preparing for the market everything got shoved to the side. I'll get back to it soon.
