Big thing done. On to the next!

The market is done. And I've had a few days to recover my energy. Yay!

It went well. Even if people didn't always stop by my stand, they looked and smiled at my things. And that fills me with joy! Of course, it feels even better when they do stop and actually buy something. 

Now I need to properly  update my crochet instagram. I tend to forget it exists... 

 

What's next? 

I've been in crochet mode for a while now, and after the success at the market, I'm feeling like continuing with it. I've developed a liking for using thinner thread instead of yarn and making small things. Although at the moment I'm working on a request with that think fluffy yarn. I don't like working with it to be honest. Yes, is makes big fluffy things and the work grows very quickly, but it's hard to tell the stitches apart, and if you make a mistake it's hard to frog and it damages the yarn. At least the kind of yarn I have. There might be better options out there, but I'm not that interested in finding out, considering I don't like working with it.

I would also like to get back to my digital collages. 

I've been working on a series I haven't shared yet. I have 6 works done. I'd like to have 12. Who knows, maybe that could end up as a calendar! Although it seems like I'm already late to that race, as I've been seeing 2026 calendars dropping all around already (why are people always in such a hurry?!)

And I would also like to get back to collage on paper. I even have one in the works, but with preparing for the market everything got shoved to the side. I'll get back to it soon.

This month is flying by. I've been so focused on preparing for the market this coming weekend that I don't have room in my head for anything else.

Nothing like a deadline to stress your ass into productivity

I have a market on the 20th and 21st this month, and I've been preparing for quite some time. But now that the deadline is coming is when all the ideas really solidify and I have the urge to do everything in a rush.  

I spent the last two days without touching my computer. I crocheted all day. I did the same on Monday, but had the computer on with something playing to "keep me company". Tuesday and Wednesday I used no distractions except music playing on my phone, and I worked so much more! No surprise there, really. 

I decided I's use all of this week to crochet all I still want to make, and then next week I'd focus on all the digital stuff I still want to print. 

The thing is, after 3 days of crochet, two of them quite intensive, guess what? My hands aren't happy. I'm considering having a rest today and switching to digital. 

I don't want to! I can handle more crochet!  

I know that is a lie. I mean, yes, I can handle it, but I will regret it later and at that point even the digital work will be hard on my hands. So... *sigh* 

Look at all the pretty things though! 

 

I've also been feeling an urge to play Sims4 again. And get back to streaming, at least sometimes. 
I know I won't be doing any of that until the market is done, but maybe after? Maybe I can convince myself that it's ok to "waste time" playing games if I stream it and call it work. 

Honestly, I've tried that before. Didn't quite work. But maybe this time? Also, maybe I'll try streaming on Youtube this time and see how that goes? Not that I didn't like Twitch, but I'm curious to see if there's a significant difference between the two. 

So, even though I'm looking forward to the market, I also can't wait for it to be done so I can move on to the next thing.
